Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to lead our on-site maintenance function and drive engineering excellence across performance, reliability, and cost control.

This is a full-time, permanent position where you will oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of all maintenance activities to ensure minimal downtime and improve equipment longevity.

You will manage a large engineering team and external contractors, delivering on key performance indicators related to planned maintenance, reactive repairs, continuous improvement, and capital projects.

The successful candidate will provide strong leadership and operational direction for the maintenance function, cascading and delivering performance targets and key objectives defined at both site and group level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction for the maintenance function
  • Cascade and deliver performance targets and key objectives
  • Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
  • React swiftly and effectively to unplanned breakdowns
  • Monitor maintenance costs and operate within defined budgets
  • Allocate and manage internal and external resources
  • Manage contractor relationships and SLAs
  • Lead maintenance improvement initiatives
  • Drive compliance with food safety standards
  • Ensure KPIs are accurately measured and tracked
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience in a senior engineering or maintenance management role
  • Time-served or third-level qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Demonstrated experience managing large engineering teams and external contractors
  • Track record of delivering large-scale technical projects in complex industrial settings
  • Strong knowledge of planned maintenance systems, engineering best practices, and reliability strategies
  • Proficient in performance analysis, KPI management, and cost control
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong people management capabilities, able to mentor, coach, and inspire high performance
