Facilities Maintenance Lead

The Facilities Maintenance Lead plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality maintenance services to production and site-wide facilities.

  • Lead a team of skilled fitters/electricians in day-to-day activities within a busy engineering department.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to solve mechanical and electrical issues on the manufacturing plant.
  • Ensure effective maintenance downtime analysis, root cause identification, and problem-solving strategies for optimal plant performance.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the procurement system for the maintenance department, working closely with the administrator.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance company operations.
  • Manage supplier relationships and costs for the maintenance department.
  • Plan and issue all preventive maintenance requests for the company.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience operating in a regulated industry/environment as a qualified mechanical fitter/mechanic.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Proficient PC skills and ability to work efficiently in software applications.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

This position requires an individual who can work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. The successful candidate should have a logical approach to problem-solving, a proactive attitude, and be able to manage multiple priorities under pressure to meet deadlines.
