Software Network Architect

This role involves building control plane systems for global networks.

We are looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas in areas like system design, networking, and data storage.

  • Design, implement, and qualify control plane features including software architecture evolution, admission control, network programming coordination, and availability improving mechanisms.
  • Lead a team of engineers to develop and deploy edge networks, working closely with partners and test engineers.

The successful candidate will have 8 years of experience with software development in one or more languages, and with data structures/algorithms. A Bachelor's degree is required.

You will work on a specific project critical to Google Cloud's needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as the business grows.

You will anticipate customer needs and be empowered to act like an owner, take action, and innovate. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities, and be enthusiastic about taking on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.
