Operational Readiness Manager

This role involves leading the development and execution of safety-driven operational readiness work streams for new rail systems. The successful candidate will align these efforts with international best practices and local regulatory requirements.

The operational readiness manager will design and implement training frameworks, including 'train-the-trainers' programs, to ensure sustainable knowledge transfer and capacity building for operations and maintenance staff.

Additionally, this individual will support the setup and structuring of operations and maintenance organizations, defining operational procedures, resource plans, and performance metrics.

They will also manage and supervise testing, commissioning, and trial phases, ensuring all operational systems are validated and ready for service.

Contribution to operational risk assessments and safety cases is another key aspect of this role.

Effective coordination with stakeholders, including system integrators, safety assessors, rolling stock experts, and regulatory bodies, is crucial to ensure a cohesive readiness process.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • No less than 10 years of professional experience in configuration management within large-scale infrastructure, rail, transportation, or safety-critical industries.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with at least intermediate skills in Excel and Word.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Willingsness to travel as required by business and client needs.
