Construction Safety Specialist

A skilled Health and Safety Specialist is required to provide expert support to our EHS Manager in a leading construction company.
Job Description:We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in occupational health and safety to join our team.
- Provide comprehensive support to the EHS Manager in maintaining a safe working environment
- Ensure compliance with site safety protocols and company policies
- Develop and implement effective safety management systems
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits, reporting findings to the project EHS Manager
- Identify training needs and report requirements to the project EHS Manager
- Deliver engaging Health and Safety Inductions and Toolbox Talks
- Organize and chair Safety Meetings
- Review subcontractor Method Statements/Risk Assessments and provide assistance where necessary
- Assist with accident/incident investigation reports
- Submit weekly reports
- Perform daily site walks and report findings to project supervisors immediately
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A relevant 3rd Level EHS qualification
- A minimum of 2-3 years experience in a similar role
- Experience working in the construction sector is desired
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work well in a team environment
