Biotechnology Production Leadership Role

This is a supervisory position responsible for overseeing the implementation of commercial manufacturing production schedules. As a key member of the team, you will guide the manufacturing process, ensuring compliance with approved protocols and regulatory requirements.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising commercial scale manufacturing of recombinant proteins according to established guidelines and schedule.
  • Leading teams responsible for bulk drug substance manufacture in cGMP environments.
  • Ensuring high safety and housekeeping standards are maintained.
  • Reviewing and editing batch records to ensure compliance with cGMP standards.
  • Maintaining availability of production batch records for upcoming lots.
  • Scheduling duties and batch tasks based on master production schedules.
  • Ensuring equipment readiness and coordinating regular maintenance and calibrations; troubleshooting equipment issues.
  • Performing audits of production areas to ensure compliance.
  • Managing personnel, including time sheet submissions, scheduling, personnel development, disciplinary actions, hiring, terminations, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinating individual and ongoing training.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional departments, such as Facilities, Process Development, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Previous supervisory and/or leadership experience required.
  • Excellent logical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Superb analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • A BS/BA in Life Sciences or related field with 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, with shift leadership experience preferred.
