Human Resources Generalist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for human resources-related inquiries.
  • Support managers with performance concerns, ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Maintain and manage human resources databases, guaranteeing accuracy and providing insightful reporting and analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Carry out general administrative tasks related to human resources, including filing, reference checks, and drafting correspondence.
  • Manage and attend interviews, oversee the offer process, and respond to candidate queries, showcasing exceptional customer service skills.
  • Prepare employment contracts and maintain employee records, upholding confidentiality and discretion.
  • Collaborate with managers to ensure seamless onboarding for new hires, fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Represent the human resources department in relevant meetings, demonstrating effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Administer and configure the in-house human resources system, ensuring efficient operations and optimal results.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the engineering, construction, or manufacturing industries.
  • A third-level qualification in business or a related discipline, such as human resources management.
  • Certification in human resources, such as CIPD (advantageous).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel (intermediate level or above).
  • Strong organisational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility.
