We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Medical Secretary to join our team at Mid West Physiotherapy.

Job Description

This full-time role involves providing excellent customer service to patients, answering phone calls, and responding to queries. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a vital role in creating a positive impression of our clinic and ensuring that patients have a smooth and efficient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome patients to the clinic and provide them with a warm and welcoming environment
  • Schedule and manage patient appointments, maintain accurate patient records, and process appointment payments
  • Process insurance company and corporate referrals, type up letters/reports dictated by clinicians via dictaphone, and assist with third-party billing
  • Handle administrative tasks such as data inputting, scanning, filing, and postage, and generate and track regular reports (e.g., patient recalls) for clinician completion
  • Manage and order stock, including retail items, clinic consumables, and general supplies, and optimise clinic efficiency and processes
Requirements
  • 1+ years' experience in a similar role (e.g., medical secretary/front of house/receptionist administrator)
  • Able to demonstrate competencies corresponding to the job description
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Knowledge of AI systems for healthcare/administration is highly desirable
