Job Overview

Citi is seeking a seasoned Risk Management and Quality Assurance Lead to join its Issue Management team in Dublin.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape your career in a fast-paced environment, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure Citi achieves and maintains compliance.

The successful candidate will possess significant experience in operational risk management, compliance, audit, or other control-related functions in the financial services industry.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring timely and quality execution of QA reviews across assigned portfolio in compliance with Issue Management Policy, Standards, and Procedures.
  • Providing expert advice and support to business and action owners on effective design and implementation of key control remediations.
  • Challenging stakeholders to implement sustainable solutions to address root causes.
  • Managing Business/Function Quality Control engagement over the complete lifecycle of high-impact issue remediations and primary remediation programs.
  • Updating QA workflow tool with accurate and complete information.
  • Demonstrating expertise in risk management and control, as well as in-depth knowledge of assigned portfolios and interdependencies with other Issues/Regulatory Commitments.
  • Escalating concerns/observations to relevant senior stakeholders and supporting them to identify solutions.
  • Publishing quality and on-time QA status reporting to Services leadership.
  • Leveraging analytics to assess issue remediation trends, identify key risks, and develop insights for process improvement.
  • Proactively identifying and analyzing potential control gaps and operational risks across Citi, leveraging data analysis to assess impact and recommend proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to develop comprehensive corrective action plans to address identified control gaps or failures.
  • Integrating lessons learned into the development of corrective action plans, promoting continuous improvement and timely closure of issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Fostering strong partnerships with internal audit, business units, and senior management, communicating effectively to drive issue resolution, influence decision-making, and promote a culture of risk awareness.
  • Appropriately assessing risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of teams and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
