Job Title: Training and Assessment Specialist

We are seeking an experienced training and assessment specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in training, assessment, and certification of overhead power line workers.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote and encourage a culture that aligns with company values and supports employee development.
  • Perform all training, assessment, and certification of OHL (Overhead Lines) training for the business.
  • Train, assess, and verify construction activities such as plant and vocational qualifications.
  • Work with the Contract Teams and Head of Training to develop added value training solutions in support of business needs.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Management or Supervision Qualification as well as Train the Trainer Qualification.
  • Experience of working within the OHL industry at an operative level.
  • Knowledge of client authorisations coding and approvals levels.
  • Significant experience maintaining OHL equipment and applying relevant safety precautions.
  • Sound knowledge of OHL and maintenance/installation techniques and practices.
  • Sound understanding of the Ireland and UK Electricity Systems.
  • Practical competence in the application of OHL maintenance techniques and practices.
  • Able to lead and manage work teams.
  • Previous training experience, knowledge sharing, development, and coaching of others would be advantageous.
  • Hold a Full Drivers Licence.
  • Competent in use of MS Office Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
  • Competent in training database platforms.
