Sous Chef Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team in Galway. As a key member of the brigade, you will support the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management, including food production, team supervision, and quality control.

  • Kitchen Leadership: Lead and motivate your team during service and prep, ensuring seamless execution of menu items and daily specials.
  • Stock Management: Help manage stock levels, ordering, and food cost control, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory.
  • Creative Menu Development: Assist in creating new menu items and inspire colleagues with innovative ideas.
  • Fitness for Duty: Enforce food safety, cleanliness, and HACCP compliance, maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Requirements:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie in a high-quality kitchen environment.
  • Team Motivation: Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment, fostering a positive work culture.
  • Food Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP, and kitchen operations, ensuring compliance and adherence.
  • Innovative Approach: Creative approach to menu development and food presentation, driving business growth through culinary excellence.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and organisational skills, facilitating effective collaboration and workflow.
