Job Description

We're on a mission to drive digital solutions for fashion, logistics, advertising and research. As part of our Search and Browse - Experience department, you'll be working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

The Echo team is being created within the Search and Browse - Experience department. This team will focus on an assortment of business-critical functionalities relating to Zalando's Search and Category pages.

Our goal is to ensure operational excellence is paramount in our approach to engineering. We're looking for a motivated individual with relevant experience to help drive this area forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish effective ways of working and efficient code contribution methods between Asian and European engineering teams.
  • Support and contribute to a diverse team of 5 engineers while ensuring smooth delivery and continuous improvements to business critical systems.
  • Help establish architectural and design decisions in the team, contribute to priorities, and advise on technology selection.
  • Ensure operational excellence is paramount in our approach to engineering.
  • Advise on Search and Browse - Experience priorities providing an engineering input into Product requirements.
  • Act like an owner by taking up a challenge, work towards reducing ambiguity, and break down work into manageable tasks for the team.
  • Share and develop expertise with the team to deliver the best user experience to customers.
