Operations Graduate Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our Operations team as an Operations Associate. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience Application: Gain hands-on experience in applying best practice safe systems in a busy production setting.
  • Problem Solving: Work collaboratively with a broader production/process team to identify and implement process improvements using lean/6 sigma techniques.
  • Shift Management: Learn and manage the production processes, working closely with experienced operators to ensure high-quality product output.
  • Team Leadership: Act as a key point of contact for team members, resolving any people-related issues that may arise on your shift.
  • Decision Making: Make informed decisions related to production impact, escalating issues to relevant support or management personnel when necessary.
  • Handover Meetings: Lead daily shift handovers, ensuring meeting objectives are met and all participants are actively contributing.
  • Performance Maximisation: Drive team performance through feedback, coaching, and training, coordinating systems policies and procedures to optimize multi-skilling across the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a 2.2 honors primary degree in Engineering, Food Science, or a related discipline.
  • A strong ambition to progress successfully in a career in operations and production.
  • Excellent commercial thinking and customer-centric solution delivery skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive collaboration and build partnerships to meet shared objectives.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills at all levels.
  • A thirst for knowledge and a desire to continually learn and grow.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to develop creative insights and execute change.
