Corporate Tax M&A Senior Manager / Director

Overview

An exciting opportunity to join a leading global professional services firm as a Corporate Tax M&A Senior Manager / Director. This role involves providing strategic tax advice and support across all aspects of M&A transactions, including due diligence, structuring, and legal document review.

The successful candidate will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure tax-efficient transaction structures, compliance with relevant tax legislation, and delivery of high-quality advisory services.

Core Responsibilities

M&A Tax Advisory & Execution

Lead and manage tax due diligence projects for M&A transactionsProvide tax advice on transaction structuring, highlighting risks, opportunities, and tax implicationsReview legal documentation to ensure tax compliance and optimisationCollaborate with other departments (e.g., Financial Due Diligence and other tax teams) for seamless transaction execution

Client & Stakeholder Management

Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on tax mattersAttend client meetings and provide guidance on tax strategy and decision-makingMentor and support junior team members, providing training and professional development

Regulatory & Technical Expertise

Stay up to date with changes in tax legislation and assess the impact on M&A activitiesEnsure all tax advice and project deliverables meet professional and regulatory standardsApply deep technical knowledge to manage complex tax projects effectively

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent professional qualificationSignificant experience in corporate tax, with a focus on M&A transactionsProven track record in managing complex tax projects and transactions

Technical Skills

Strong understanding of tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuringExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to assess and mitigate tax risks while identifying opportunities
