Job Description:

Flexsource is recruiting on behalf of a leading infrastructure services provider in Ireland. We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Road Maintenance Operator (B Licence) to join our dynamic team based at the Sandyford service depot. This role is crucial in maintaining road safety and supporting infrastructure services across the region.

Job Title: Road Maintenance Operator (B Licence)

Key Responsibilities:

Drive company vehicles (B licence category) to and from worksites and depots.Assist in a variety of road maintenance and civil works tasks, including pothole repair, signage installation, and verge maintenance.Operate light tools and equipment as required for roadwork and maintenance duties.Carry out safety inspections and report issues with roads, signage, and work areas.Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental procedures.Work collaboratively within a team and take initiative in tasks when working independently.Support depot operations and perform general duties as needed.

Key Requirements:

Valid Full B driving licence with a minimum of 6 months' driving experience.Valid Safe Pass is essential.Manual Handling certificate is an advantage (training can be provided).Experience in traffic management is desirable (training will be provided).Background in construction, civil works, or road maintenance is a plus.

Working Hours:

40 hours per week, Monday to FridayStandard Shifts:Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 15:30Friday: 06:00 – 14:30Availability for on-call work outside of standard hours is required

Pay:

Base Rate: €15.50 per hourNight Shift Premium (1.3x): €20.15Overtime (1.5x after 40 hours): €23.25Winter/Emergency On-Call (1.75x): €27.13Sunday/Bank Holiday (2x): €31.00Tax-Free Daily Subsistence: €8.28Weekly On-Call Allowance: €Pay Increase Available Upon Obtaining a C Licence – opportunities to progress to a Rigid Driver role with a higher rate of pay.
