Our client is a privately run mechanical and electrical services company. Founded in 2002, the company has gone from strength to strength, delivering a wide range of projects in Dublin and the surrounding areas.Your new role
Due to growth within the business, an opportunity has become available for a procurement officer to join their team on a full-time basis. The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services. This role requires strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. As this is a family-run business, this role will help support the owners with their procurement function. Aside from general procurement activities, the ideal candidate will enjoy being busy with the business as a whole. A typical day can also include office management, liaising with suppliers, reconciliations, stock control, orders and issues management.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in procurement or supply chain roles.Strong negotiation and contract management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.What you'll get in return
This is a permanent role with an opportunity to grow your career in Procurement. You will be working on some of Dublin's most well-known building projects, whilst strengthening your own procurement knowledge to become an expert in the field. The salary is negotiable depending on the candidate's experience; staff parking and company events are also offered.
