Grand Circle Corporation or Overseas Adventure Travel is in business to change the lives of our travelers, employees, and communities in which we work and travel.
As the largest US direct marketer of international travel, adventure and discovery for North Americans aged 50-plus, we have successful programs in UK & IRELAND.
To support these programs, we are looking for a Country Manager to be based in the region to ensure we hire and optimize the very best staff to look after our passengers.
Extensive experience in hiring and coaching is required for this role.
We are looking for a person with: Excellent leadership skills Deep knowledge of UK and Ireland Excellence oriented Fluency in written & spoken English Willingness to travel extensively throughout the regions The right aptitude and discipline to work from home Excellent interpersonal/communication and problem-solving skills Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel Experience managing offices of an international tour & travel company Strong negotiation skills and experience with vendors in the travel/tourism business Ability to implement the company's performance-driven strategy with a strong focus on excellence Passionate about tourism and people You will be responsible for: Managing day-to-day operations and driving the effectiveness of the regional staff to develop new programs and achieve quality goals, reporting directly to the Regional Manager Driving the hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and managing of tour guides for products Creating a strong team of high-performing tour guides who exemplify the company's culture, values, and team spirit Building strong relationships with vendors and supporting buying and profitability goals in the region Providing 24/7 emergency support and driving resolutions of issues What we offer: Competitive compensation Incentive bonus based on targeted results Merit increase based on performance Personal and professional growth opportunities Milestone bonus + travel certificate for every next 5th anniversary at GCC Worldwide GC tour packages available at discounted prices Full training program onsite Working as part of an international team (exposure to colleagues in worldwide offices) Please send your C.V.
