YOU MUST BE A FULLY QUALIFIED MECHANIC IN ORDER TO APPLY FOR THIS JOB.Successful candidate essentialsHave good oral and written EnglishLeaving Certificate or equivalent minimum educationDrivers licence (provisional licence will be accepted)Keen interest in the motor industryThe type of person we wantA positive attitude and a willingness to learnWillingness to take instruction and learnWants to work as a part of a teamLikes to work on their own initiativeCommitment to a training and development programme when requiredThe Car Doctor is an equal opportunity EmployerMain DutiesWorking in a fully digital workshop you will complete your work on a provided tablet.Service and VHC work including video will all be captured.Identify any outstanding or due maintenance work or defects.Diagnose and repair vehicles using diagnostic equipment.Recording reports and diagnostic logs with all assessment work.Keep and maintain a clean working areaManage work flow effectively with diligence and flexible approachEnsure all work is carried out observing safe working practices of self and others.Present a consistently professional image and behaviour to both internal and external customers, through attitude, query resolving and personal appearanceAn ability to work to high standardsEnsure that workshop housekeeping standards are maintained at all times including the use of special and personal tools.Carry out repairs and servicing to the highest standards and to the appropriate specification.Preferred but not essential (Developmental opportunities)Highly experienced in vehicle diagnostics (Preferred if qualified)A good understanding of latest technology introduced on the vehicle range and how to repair faults on them.Possess strong organizational and planning skillsWhat you should be interested in to be successful at the Car DoctorInterested in working in a fast paced environment producing top quality workAttention to detail with continuous improvement mindset with a flexible realistic approach to work career and life.To be keen and able to seek advice from colleagues and supervisors in situations that are over and above work specified.Position Benefits & Perks: 26 long weekends per year, closed every Monday.
