Due to continued growth, we are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Digital Engineering Coordinator to join our team and contribute to the successful implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes for our projects.
As a Digital Engineering Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate model creation, coordination, data integration, and effective communication among project stakeholders.
Your expertise in BIM software, strong organizational skills, and ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment will be essential for excelling in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES Create and prepare 3D BIM models and deliverables with a high degree of accuracy that reflect the client's design intent, ensuring alignment with Vertiv standards, client requirements, and the associated BIM processes and documentation.
Create plans, sections, elevations, 3D ISO views, and schedules for coordination, installation, and as-built documentation.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop and maintain BIM models that accurately represent project designs and data.
Coordinate busbar services within multidisciplinary BIM models to identify and resolve clashes, discrepancies, and potential conflicts in design and construction.
Manage BIM workflows and processes to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to established BIM standards and protocols.
Assist in the creation and maintenance of BIM content libraries, templates, and families for efficient model development.
Generate clash detection reports and work with project teams to facilitate issue resolution and coordination efforts.
Extract accurate quantities and data from BIM models for cost estimation, scheduling, and other project-related purposes.
Collaborate with BIM managers and project managers to ensure BIM deliverables align with project timelines and objectives.
Provide training and support to project teams on BIM software and processes, promoting proper usage and adherence to standards.
Stay up to date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in BIM methodology and software.
Participate in regular meetings and communication channels to facilitate effective collaboration among project stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS Hold a qualification related to the post in Revit, 3D CAD, or an equivalent.
Proven experience (2+ years) in BIM coordination and working with BIM software tools.
Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of BIM principles, standards, and protocols.
Previous knowledge of busbar systems will be an advantage but not a requirement, as specific training on our products and BIM libraries will be provided as part of the role.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Familiarity with construction and design processes.
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Experience with clash detection and resolution processes.
Knowledge of quantity extraction and data management from BIM models.
