An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement Manager to join a well-established manufacturer of high-quality kitchens, wardrobes, and bespoke furniture.
With over three decades of expertise, the company is continuing to grow and requires a driven individual to lead procurement and supplier management.
This is a senior role with significant responsibility, offering the chance to make a real impact on efficiency, profitability, and long-term growth.
Role Overview
Source, select, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply
Review and build a strong supplier base through performance assessments and new proposals
Stay up to date with new design and manufacturing trends within the industry
Create and maintain catalogues of material and labour costings
Prepare and update pricelists for the sales and design team
Develop a stock management system for efficient monitoring and ordering
Oversee purchasing of all required materials and supplies based on stock levels and job requirements
Review supplier invoices to ensure accuracy against agreed quotations
Implement continuous improvements, including introducing systems/software to enhance efficiency
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience in procurement within the kitchen, joinery, or fitted furniture industry
Strong knowledge of cabinetry, materials, and components, with the ability to break down costs accurately
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant procurement/stock control systems
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work to deadlines
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Professional, reliable, and solutions-focused
Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
