Lauda Europe is currently recruiting for a
Chief Engineer
to join the Engineering Department of Europe's largest airline group.
This exciting role involves leading the engineering team for Ryanair Group's A320 fleet across Lauda's four operational bases.
It is vital to the wider group's engineering and maintenance functions as Ryanair aims to expand to over 800 aircraft and 300 million guests annually within the next decade.
Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with Lauda Europe's Safety Policy and Safety Management Systems within their area of responsibility.
Manage and supervise continuing airworthiness activities to meet EU Regulation and TM-CAD standards.
Notify the Ryanair Director of Engineering and the Lauda Europe Accountable Manager of any deficiencies requiring attention.
Maintain aircraft in an airworthy condition to meet operational requirements.
Communicate with TM-CAD regarding airworthiness and mandatory occurrence reporting.
Revise and submit the Lauda Europe CAME and amendments to TM-CAD for approval.
Coordinate actions on airworthiness occurrences and initiate investigations as needed.
Assess subcontractors and maintenance providers for compliance with regulations and contracts.
Ensure aircraft are maintained by approved organizations according to the maintenance program.
Ensure compliance with procedures and standards during maintenance activities.
Perform competency assessments as required.
Respond to compliance deficiencies identified in audits.
Review, maintain, and analyze Lauda Europe's Approved Maintenance Programme for effectiveness.
Oversee the development and implementation of maintenance and reliability programs.
Participate in safety review boards and safety action groups.
Conduct safety risk assessments and manage change processes per Part-CAMO.
Implement preventative actions to maintain Lauda Europe's SACA ratio.
Ensure ADs and SBs are correctly implemented and reviewed on a risk basis.
Requirements
At least 5 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 2 years in the aeronautical industry in a similar role.
Knowledge of Human Factors principles and Safety Management Systems.
Practical experience with aviation safety standards and practices.
A relevant engineering degree or aircraft maintenance technician qualification, with additional acceptable education.
