Role Overview
Our client, a leading cloud based platform in the IT sector are looking for a Financial Assistant to assist the CFO with the preparation of the Group accounts.
Key Role Responsibilities:
- Maintaining records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
- Maintaining subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
- Maintaining historical records by filing documents.
- Preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Complying with Irish, UK and US federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
- Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software or databases then filing hard copies
- Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
- Completing VAT / Sales Tax returns
- Verifying the accuracy of business accounts and alerting the CFO of errors
- Recording any inconsistencies to help the CFO reconcile inaccuracies
- Managing employee expense claims
- Assisting the CFO with administrative duties and preparing yearly accounts
The successful candidate:
- Degree or Diploma in accounting, finance or related field is essential
- CPA is a plus
- US GAAP / UK GAAP / IFRS
- Previous bookkeeping experience preferred.
- Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas a bonus
- Knowledge of MS Office 365 software
- Knowledge of Oracle Netsuite a bonus
- Strong office administration background and thoroughness
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong team player working collaboratively across all levels.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Can-do approach, passion, energy and strong work ethic
- Self motivated, proactive and ability to work both independently and part of a team
- Degree or Diploma in accounting, finance or related field is essential
