Role Overview


Our client, a leading cloud based platform in the IT sector are looking for a Financial Assistant to assist the CFO with the preparation of the Group accounts.


Key Role Responsibilities:


  • Maintaining records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
  • Maintaining subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
  • Maintaining historical records by filing documents.
  • Preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Complying with Irish, UK and US federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software or databases then filing hard copies
  • Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
  • Completing VAT / Sales Tax returns
  • Verifying the accuracy of business accounts and alerting the CFO of errors
  • Recording any inconsistencies to help the CFO reconcile inaccuracies
  • Managing employee expense claims
  • Assisting the CFO with administrative duties and preparing yearly accounts


The successful candidate:


  • Degree or Diploma in accounting, finance or related field is essential
  • CPA is a plus
  • US GAAP / UK GAAP / IFRS
  • Previous bookkeeping experience preferred.
  • Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas a bonus
  • Knowledge of MS Office 365 software
  • Knowledge of Oracle Netsuite a bonus
  • Strong office administration background and thoroughness
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong team player working collaboratively across all levels.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Can-do approach, passion, energy and strong work ethic
  • Self motivated, proactive and ability to work both independently and part of a team
  • Degree or Diploma in accounting, finance or related field is essential
