Reporting Relationship: Practice Manager to Regional Manager and Clinical Director. 

Purpose of the post: To lead and support the reception team, providing excellent patient care and valuable addition and integral part of the reception team par excellence. 




Principal Duties & Responsibilities (Please note this is not a comprehensive list of all duties involved and you may be required to perform other duties as appropriate).

Administrative: 


  • Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate and manage the dental practice's appointment book, ensuring efficient scheduling and optimising the use of available time slots
  • Ensure Front Of House is using Exact software correctly. 
  • Ensuring workflow is used correctly by front of house staff. 
  •  Participate in performance evaluation/review with their line manager, identifying areas for improvement and appropriate plans/measures to achieve them. 
  • Dealing with DeCare and VHI: Oversee the processing of patient billing, insurance claims, and financial transactions. Ensure accurate documentation and timely submission of insurance claims. 

Training and supporting team members to insure they are at the standard we hold in the practice. 

         Implementing new ideas for smooth sailing of the practice 


  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient concerns, resolving conflicts, and ensuring patient satisfaction throughout their visit.
  • Office Supplies and Equipment: Monitor inventory levels of office supplies and coordinate maintenance and repairs for office equipment. 
  • Monitoring ''rapid reviews'' 
  • Point of contact for the call centre staff, assisting with their queries, providing information, and resolving issues promptly and accurately.
  • Ensuring workspace is kept clean and tidy and free of clutter at all times. 
  •  Demonstrate a commitment to continuing professional development. 

Demonstrate effective problem solving and decision. 

Working well as a part of a team and contributing to a positive work environment.

Having good communication skills with Practice Manager, Accounts, Head of People and Clinical Director.

Starting pay rate of €17.50 p/h. We reevaluate this regularly based on performance reviews indicators. 

Maternity benefit: The company will support you with the claim on the Maternity benefit offered by Revenue. Our own further policy is currently in development. 

Flexitime: We follow a Flexible Working model within Dame Street Dental. This allows for training days, course attendance days, holidays, change in evening or morning shifts.

Public holidays: As Dame Street Dental is a 7-day practice, employees may be required to work public holidays. If so, you will be paid double time. 

Sickness Pay and Conditions: A rate of payment for statutory sick leave of 70% of normal wages to be paid to employees (up to a maximum €110 per day) for a maximum 2 of your regular working days. 

Annual Leave: 20 days per year (for a full-time position)
