Dublin, Ireland Uniphar Medtech Full time

The Role:

The Senior HR Manager will work closely with senior leaders providing strategic HR support to divisions and functions at a regional level.

This position will be based in the Uniphar Medtech head office, supporting the businesses across Ireland, UK and Europe primarily, with additional interactions through expansions within other regions as we grow. This is both a strategic and operational HR position, working directly with divisional senior leadership and HR leadership to create, implement and drive the people plan across the following areas:

·       Strategic and sustainable people plans aimed at a high growth, high commercial business

·       Analyse current culture and engagement and drive a strategy of continuous employee engagement

·       Drive the divisional ED&I plan, working closely with Group HR and leaders to ensure this is embedded into the organisation

·       Analyse current organisational design and work with senior leaders on current and future state for high performing teams and sustainable growth

·       In collaboration with the Talent COE, implement a robust talent management strategy that not only identifies our top talent but also looks at how we grow and retain them

·       Proactively provide coaching, guidance, and advice to leaders across the division, becoming a trusted partner and leader on people strategy.

The successful individual will be supported by a HR Business Partner and two HR Administrators who will report into them, with the support of the HR Director and senior managers.

Key Outcomes

·       Be a change agent and lead transformational change.

·       With the HRD and HR team, bring Uniphar Medtech on a journey of change, helping to develop new ways of working with the business and building a one Medtech mindset.

·       Invest in the growth and development of the HR team.

·       Provide HR leadership and drive implementation of key projects across the business, such as organisation design and restructure; leadership development; talent review; people survey action planning and communications; budget planning; and performance review and reward.

·       Lead and introduce initiatives to implement change based on legal or best practice requirements.

·       Work closely with your HR peers across the Uniphar group to build alignment within HR cross-divisionally. Represent Uniphar Medtech in cross-divisional and cross-functional projects and work with the wider Uniphar HR team to leverage best practices forward and implement more broadly.

·       Provide expert HR coaching, building a strong community of leaders and forging strong sustainable relationships that contribute a positive, measurable impact to the success of the business.

·       Deliver the HR strategy, ensuring positive engagement and strong culture awareness with our employees across all businesses and at every level.

·       Work to create a seamless employee experience, along with business leaders, HR and other support functions.

·       Lead and implement robust service delivery at all stages of our employees' life cycle - Talent Attraction; Onboarding; Communication; Equality, Diversity and Inclusion; Total Rewards; Talent Management; Employee Wellbeing; and Change Management.

·       Support M&A through due diligence of new acquisitions and integrating new businesses.

How we’d like to work together

We operate a hybrid model of working but place a strong value on regular face to face interactions. It’s important to achieve the right balance between in-person interactions and virtual working over the long term. Moreover, there’s a flexibility required, to interact with the wider team; in return you will get to work with an organisation that understands how inter-twined work and life have become - and both the benefits and challenges that brings - and therefore offers a flexible, progressive way of supporting it through our hybrid working philosophy.

There may be a requirement to travel to our different locations across Europe, and this requirement may increase over time as our business grows.

Requirements

Key Skills & Experiences

Your HR qualifications, experience and background are important to us, but what we really care about is your passion for culture, leadership, and people; and your ability to create innovative people solutions that support ambitious business goals. To support these goals, we imagine that you would have had a successful career working in a senior level HR business partner role and have partnered with senior leaders to develop comprehensive HR strategies aligned with the business. Additionally, you will have relevant education and qualifications, demonstrating an appetite for growth and learning. We are looking for:

·       A real interest in what we do, how we do it and how we can shape it in the future

·       A progressive, non-bureaucratic approach to HR

·       Strong business acumen and focused on business outcomes, with the ability to quickly build trust and credibility

·       Experience of the latest HR thinking but in practical terms – not just a theory

·       An ability to work in an agile way. Comfortable with ambiguity. Not afraid to forge a path

·       Enjoy working in an entrepreneurial culture that moves quickly and requires rapid response and the ability to make quick, sound decisions

·       Courage to challenge our leaders and HR to make better decisions by leading with ethics and integrity, acting as a neutral sounding board for key stakeholders.

·       Digital acumen, good knowledge of systems and processes that improve efficiency and drive enhanced decision making

·       Excellent relationship building and communication, with the ability to move between listening to, guiding and coaching others at all levels

·       Common sense – always spots opportunities to simplify and improve processes to drive better results

·       Communication, and presentation skills

·       Understands what’s not important to keep us focused on our strategic people agenda
