The Hyatt Centric is delighted to invite applicants for the position of Duty Manager.

This is Ireland's first Hyatt Hotel. Adjacent to St Patrick's Cathedral, this 234 bedroom 4 Star property will include restaurant, bar, meeting and event facilities and fitness centre. Working within the highly respected Hodson Bay Group, and with the impressive support of the Hyatt Partnership, explore this exciting journey with us in introducing and establishing the Hyatt Centric, The Liberties Dublin, as a leading hotel in the Capital.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Ensure the hotel operates smoothly on a daily basis.
  • Liaise with other department heads to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide first class customer service at every opportunity, representing the Hotel Manager in every interaction.
  • Handle and resolve guest complaints or special requests in a professional and timely manner.
  • Offer support across all departments - Front Office, Food and beverage, Meeting & Events, Accommodation and Administration.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Support the security function throughout the property.
  • Act as the point of contact for any emergency situations and coordinate with relevant authorities.
  • Oversee emergency procedures, including evacuation plans.
  • Attend and contribute to management meetings.
  • Other duties may be assigned by the General Manager or Managing Director on occasions to meet the changing needs of the business.


Skills Requirements:

  • Experience in a management role within the hospitality industry
  • Fluent level of spoken & written English
  • Proven experience of working as part of a team
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic IT skills
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
