Galway, Ireland SAP Full time

We help the world run better

At SAP, we enable you to bring out your best. Our company culture is focused on collaboration and a shared passion to help the world run better. How? We focus every day on building the foundation for tomorrow and creating a workplace that embraces differences, values flexibility, and is aligned to our purpose-driven and future-focused work. We offer a highly collaborative, caring team environment with a strong focus on learning and development, recognition for your individual contributions, and a variety of benefit options for you to choose from.

What you'll do:

This senior role is initially divided into two key focus areas: 1) Escalation Management for SAP Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partners and 2) Partner Management for strategic alliances. The successful candidate must have the ability to balance both aspects of the role effectively. While this position does not include direct people management responsibilities, the ideal candidate must possess strong people management experience to guide cross-functional teams and influence outcomes.

  1. OEM Partner Escalation Management:
    • Act as the escalation point of contact for SAP OEM partners, resolving critical issues and ensuring prompt responses to partner challenges.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve escalations and implement preventative measures to improve partner satisfaction and long-term success.
    • Track and report escalation trends, developing proactive solutions to reduce recurring issues.
  2. Strategic Partner Management:
    • Build and maintain relationships with SAP’s strategic partners, aligning business objectives and delivering on joint initiatives.
    • Drive growth by developing and executing tailored business models for strategic partners.
    • Serve as the main liaison between SAP and strategic partners, coordinating cross-functional efforts to achieve shared goals.
  3. Escalation Management Expertise:
    • Lead and manage high-priority partner escalations, engaging the right internal resources to resolve complex issues.
    • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on critical escalations, proposing strategies to mitigate future risks.
    • Ensure escalations are handled in a timely and efficient manner, reducing partner downtime and frustration.
  4. Leadership and Collaboration:
    • Leverage people management experience to lead cross-functional teams indirectly, guiding teams through challenges and driving alignment.
    • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including sales, marketing, legal, and product teams to ensure cohesive responses to partner needs.

What you bring:

    • Minimum 5+ years in partner management, escalation management, or business development roles.
    • Proven experience managing escalations and critical partner issues in complex environments.
    • Minimum 5+ years in people management, though direct reports are not part of this role.
    • Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills, particularly in partner-facing scenarios.
    • Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple teams and organizational levels.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, especially when handling escalations and working with senior stakeholders.
    • Strategic thinking and analytical skills to develop innovative business models and drive partner success.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
