Our client is a market-leading smart grid technology and services company headquartered in Limerick. They encourage large electricity customers to actively participate in the electricity market to generate revenue in return forproviding valuable services that help support the reliability ofthe power grid. Together, theyre clients can provide more power to the grid than some of the countrys large power stations.These services are delivered via custom-designed control and communication systems. Theyre state-of-the-art systems are designedto provide the fast frequency response services that are needed to facilitate increased integration of renewable energy on the power grid.

They are recruiting a Senior Business Analyst to join their Team. As Senior Business Analyst you will play a key role in the design and implementation of the structures and processes that will facilitate the continued successful growth of our business. You will work with a dynamic and multi-disciplinary team and assist with the introduction and integration of new IT systems, with a focus on Microsoft SharePoint, Dynamics 365, and Power BI etc.

Responsibilities

• Studying current business processes to identify opportunities for improvement, reducing complexity and operational inefficiencies, and driving alignment towards the target operating model of global service and support delivery to international business units.
• Breaking down and analysing these existing business processes in detail to aid redesign towards the target operating model.
• Engaging with stakeholders throughout the company to develop a clear understanding of the various roles, functions, and tasks carried out by teams, and interactions between teams within the company.
• Documenting existing and proposed workflows within teams, between teams, and between teams and external stakeholders.
• Engaging with stakeholders throughout the company to develop a clear understanding of anticipated future requirements to support the continued expansion of operations within the company and products and services offered by the company to external stakeholders.
• Devising and implementing new strategies to enhance the efficiency of workflows within teams, between teams, and between teams and external stakeholders.
• Introducing and integrating new IT systems, with a focus on Microsoft SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate etc. to support the efficient management of workflows within the company.
• Analysing the companys performance in the marketplace in which it operates and supporting efforts to optimise its market strategy.
• Analysing the companys sales data and targets to provide insights that support the development of strategies to ensure that the companys commercial objectives are met in an optimal manner.
• Developing metrics and integrating data visualisation systems to enable the tracking of the companys performance in the marketplace in which it operates.
• Preparing reports for management to support decision making by management, executive management, and the board of directors.

Requirements:

• Five years minimum of working in a business analyst role
• Experience working on large projects while also handling day-to-day operational requirements
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Dynamics 365
• Experience of Lean and Agile methodologies

Desirable:

• Experience working in the electricity industry
