The Opportunity:

Digital commerce will influence nearly $16 trillion in sales globally in 2024. Brand leaders working in consumer packaged and fast-moving consumer goods (CPG/FMCG) multinationals need to capitalise on this growth opportunity and optimise their strategic digital commerce decision-making. 

DCG is looking for a B2B Marketing Manager with experience working across digital channels and a proven record of growing leads and online communities to support scale for global growth.

The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, with at least 8 years’ digital B2B marketing experience. They will be looking to take the next step in their career progression towards Director and C-level roles. 

They will have a good understanding of the challenges and benefits of ecommerce (i.e., the trading of goods and services online), have some experience of working with senior representatives in CPG and FMCG industries, within a hybrid working model.

Having secured private funding in 2022 and rapidly grown our presence, DCG is now hiring a Marketing Manager to expand and lead the marketing function, with overall responsibility for all marketing strategy and execution, including community development initiatives. 

This is a key hire in terms of the growth and scaling of DCG internationally. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimising brand visibility and awareness globally, generating leads through multiple online and offline channels, including but not least: website, blogs, social media, newsletters, CRM and events.

Innovative, creative ideas for engagement and content are essential in order to continuously add value to the community, a key source of growth for DCG. In developing and driving all marketing initiatives and execution to support our global proposition, this important hire will succeed at setting new standards in digital commerce capabilities. 

Requirements

  • 8+ years experience as a full stack B2B digital marketer, ideally within an international cross-regional organisation
  • Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal). The successful candidate will be responsible for writing the narrative and storyline for all core community content, in accordance with headline messaging guidance from the CEO and key DCG stakeholders
  • Community-build marketing experience essential – including revenue conversion planning (i.e., freemium to premium membership modelling and forecasting) 
  • Strong editorial, social media and account-based marketing (ABM) campaign planning and execution experience. Familiarity with executing marketing campaigns using LinkedIn Campaign Manager is essential
  • Experience with cross channel/new media marketing, including brand marketing, social, content management, targeted paid advertising, digital performance marketing (PPC & SEO) and e-mail/eCRM platforms, segmentation etc.
  • Strong command of social media planning & execution, growth tactics and community acquisition initiatives (experience of ‘Guerrilla marketing tactics’ a bonus)
  • Adept at building relationships (with community members, industry associations and media partners), liaising with multiple stakeholders, and thriving in matrix environments
  • Start-up and/or scale-up experience would be a bonus, with budgeting experience in fast-moving, nimble and lean organisations
  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field is preferred, but not essential.

KEY TASKS 

  • Work with the CEO to develop and execute a robust 12-month target-driven marketing strategy and plan, as part of a 3 - 5 year vision that drives awareness, customer acquisition, retention, and growth
  • Planning, development and execution of DCG’s highly active editorial, social media and events calendar
  • Manage corporate and CEO content, leveraging the DCG community, stakeholders and data as well as industry contributors to build DCG as the authority for digital commerce benchmarking 
  • Develop and drive strategic growth partnerships with industry associations, suppliers & agencies
  • Plan, develop and execute effective promotional campaigns in line with DCG’s vision and strategy against agreed KPIs and quarterly targets
  • Develop and launch go to market campaigns to drive DCG awareness, generate leads and conversions, whilst fostering community loyalty and advocacy as part of a growing customer database
  • Generate content/assets in line with objectives across all channels (online/offline/social), to include a regular newsletter, up to date website and linked social media
  • Increase marketing ROI by improving ongoing segmentation, targeting, and timely content
  • Define and build DCG’s brand via appropriate promotional campaigns, PR initiatives, thought leadership and events
  • Marketing P&L management; review, maintain and tweak marketing budget spend based on on-going performance and ROI
  • Build competitor SWOT analysis and stay ahead of competitors and the marketplace
