Job Description
This is an internal functional role and not a client role.
Cost Analyst
Provide support to Infrastructure Operations Director in the monthly review of revenue and cost forecasts, actual revenue and costs, staff utilisation. Input into all aspects of the company systems Dynamic 365, Commission Delivery App. Be an excellent written and verbal communicator, displaying a high level of numerical acumen with strong attention to detail.
Monthly Update cycle of Cost – Input and review large dataset from various system (Oracle, Primavera, etc) into excel workbooks.Supporting Senior Cost Analyst in Monthly Review with project teams.
On-going improvements and developments – Support the Infrastructure Operations Director in managing the development ofCost Reporting / Forecast tools, cost collection sheets, reports, detailed analysis of cost spread variances verses key completion dates, maintenance of cost tools developed to date including:
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Cost data model of forecasts and benchmarks Forecast accuracy Cost sheet Graphs Cost sheet Summary snapshot Technical Dashboard Report Analysis of Stage Gates - dates and spend S Curve distribution of cost profiles
Qualifications
Must hold at least a relevant Level 8 qualification as per the National framework of qualifications with 2 years post-graduation experience or relevant work experience.Other Skills / Attributes – support development of continuous improvement of Cost / Finance and Project Control Procedures Alongside Senior Cost Analyst and Project Controls Manager.
Good interpersonal & communication skills Excel & MS office Experience with Cost Reporting Experience with developing Forecasts Earned Value Management (EVM) (desired but not essential) System and process migration (desired but not essential)
