Future Trends & Innovations Trainee (Brand & Marketing) - Placement Student

And if you need to relocate to Dublin for the role: 
  • We’ll support you with : flights at the start and end of your placement, an additional gross relocation allowance of EUR 0 in your first month pay to help get you settled in, a bundle of homeware so you don’t have to pack your duvet and pillows and a travel allowance to support with your travel over the holiday season. We’ll also support you opening a bank account and registering for tax and social security in Ireland.  
  • Not sure where to live? Primark currently partner with Highfield House, student accommodation. You will have the option to stay at Highfield House and if you do, Primark will generously contribute towards % of your total annual rent and cover your deposit  
 
About you 
If you’re an undergraduate looking for a month placement before you head back to university for your final year, we’d love to hear from you. If you’re in your last year at university or have already graduated, head back to the to find other roles across the business.  

About the placement

You don’t watch from the sidelines around here — you get stuck in. Through hands-on experience and responsibility from the get-go, you’ll gain a vast insight into how our business works and contribute to it from day one. What you’ll need
Curious, detail-focused, organised, self-starter. That’s you. You’re a great communicator who knows how to influence with passion and energy, exciting people in your vision. With a positive mindset, you’ll take it in your stride working in a fast-developing, ever-changing environment. You’ll also have an understanding of global macro trends and how it influences customer behavior. You won’t be short of initiative either. In fact, you’ll be happy to handle your own workload with the support of others.

What you’ll do
This is where creativity, ideas and business collide. Here, you’ll help deliver new and evolving consumer trends, creating a vision of tomorrow to inform decisions for today. This includes collaborating with the Head of Innovation and the Future Trends Manager to understand upcoming and evolving consumer trends and how this will impact consumer behaviour, shopping habits and Primark as a business. You’ll support with research, carrying out forecasting and predicting global macro trends. We’ll also look to you to challenge perceptions of how things are by developing concepts and actions, and translating ideas into simple, actionable insights through presentation decks. You’ll also work with external partners and consumer focus groups to support findings and enhance concepts. With weekly team brainstorm sessions to spark up new ideas and concepts, this role is packed full of bold thinking. You’ll help drive business and brand growth into the future.
