To reach climate targets, we need to scale home retrofit numbers to tens of thousands of homes performing a deeper retrofit. SEAI is expanding our programmes to support homeowners in specific sectors. The first sector are homeowners affected by Defective Concrete Blocks. Many of these homeowners will be remediating their homes in the coming years and SEAI wishes to ensure that the homeowners, construction sector and our programmes are ready to support these homeowners. This will require adaption of existing schemes and engagement with homeowners and the sector from contractors, installers, products and materials.
This position will play a key role in the Retrofit Directorate and will work with programmes across the directorate and its three departments; Delivery, Technical and Communities & National Retrofit. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Communities & National Retrofit.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing, presenting, public speaking.
- Strong project management and organisation skills and knowledge of business process development experience.
- Knowledge of communities, building technologies industry, buildings, environmental or another relevant sector.
- Strong team-player and flexible.
- Full Driving Licence.
- Experience in DCB or pyrite schemes.
- Experience of energy retrofits.
- QS qualification or experience, particularly in the retrofit sector.
- Qualification in project management methodologies.
The SEAI has a legal obligation to ensure that all employees are lawfully entitled to work in Ireland. To qualify, candidates must hold a valid visa on the date of application and where applicable to support a candidate's application, candidates must submit a valid work permit/visa confirming permission to work in Ireland when requested. Failure to submit the required evidence, and failure to hold a valid permit/visa during the period of the contract, will result in the application and/or contract of employment being rendered void.
