This is a great opportunity for a sales coordinator to further develop their career within a market-leading event catering company specialising in high-profile, high-end and high-volume events. The Sales & Events Coordinator is responsible for supporting the event sales office, coordinating events, and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain the events diary, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
  2. Communicate with all departments within venue on event details and plans.
  3. Create and maintain event checklists.
  4. Keep records of event feedback.
  5. Liaise and work with various departments concerning event queries or specific client needs.
  6. Develop and maintain a database of existing and potential customers, identifying new business opportunities and following up on existing leads.
  7. Issue invoices and follow up on payments.
  8. Utilise Salesforce/Delphi to maintain the client database and all account information and sales activities.
  9. Send out proposals and follow-ups.
  10. Manage BEOs and provide admin support to the full sales team.
  11. Responsible for the successful execution of events from initial enquiry through to completion and follow-up.
  12. Maintain excellent communication lines with all other functional departments within the business.
  13. Achieve monthly KPIs and targets as set out by the Sales and Events Manager.
  14. Research and target specific market segments through sales activities to deliver revenue targets.
  15. Seek and follow leads to acquire new business and drive the cycle from prospecting to closing sales.
  16. Assist with onsite event coordination.
  17. Monitor reactive enquiries via phone and email.

The Ideal Candidate:

  1. Minimum of one year's experience as Sales/Events Coordinator or equivalent role within a high-volume, high-quality hospitality setting (hotel, venue, organisation).
  2. Self-motivated and pro-active in seeking out new business and building relationships.
  3. Creative thinker who is a problem solver.
  4. Advanced written and verbal communication skills with fluent English.
  5. Good communicator who enjoys meeting with new people and embracing new opportunities.
  6. A passion for excellent customer service.
  7. Excellent planning and organisational skills with a high attention to detail.
  8. Highly organised and proficient in using Microsoft Office programs; experience in Delphi is desirable but not essential.
  9. Enthusiastic and approachable personality.
  10. Team player with the ability to multi-task.
  11. Courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of service.
  12. Process driven and detail oriented.
  13. Flexibility with work schedule, working 5 days over 7.
