- As a Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in defining the commercial strategy and monitoring commercial performance for our largest B2B customers.
- Being in charge of the Commercial P&L, you will oversee forecasting, market analysis, trading, and key initiatives to drive subscriber and revenue market share sustainably.
- You will be part of Vodafone Ireland's Large Business Commercial Team, responsible for shaping the commercial success and strategy of Vodafone Business Unit's mobile and complex fixed portfolios.
- Working closely with other VBU teams, including sales, bid office, finance, and product delivery, this team operates as one Virtual Team.
As the Commercial Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Creating the annual customer and financial budget for our portfolio alongside the Finance Partner.
- Monitoring and tracking commercial performance against the annual budget plan, explaining success factors and course-correcting as needed.
- Reporting on key market, customer, and financial KPIs to ensure optimal revenue and margin performance.
- Collaborating with sales channel owners to align accurate forecasts and establish growth targets and incentives.
- Monitoring and evaluating commercial offers in collaboration with the sales team to optimize benefits for Vodafone and our customers.
- Analyzing weekly sales performance, preparing updates for trading reviews, and communicating insights to senior leadership.
- Working with finance and sales teams to understand the financial impact of quarterly plans and enhance bottom-line growth.
- Addressing performance issues promptly and incorporating learnings into future plans and reforecasts.
- Developing compelling business cases for new opportunities and influencing key stakeholders, including board-level decision-makers.
- Becoming a subject matter expert on Commercial customer insights, identifying growth areas and profitability optimization.
- Leading the commercial strategy, focusing on efficiency, customer benefits, and account growth.
- Minimum of 3+ years' experience in commercial ownership or analytical roles.
- Demonstrate a growth mindset, innovation, and competitiveness in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in high-profile, fast-paced settings with a focus on planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Ability to work in cross-functional and virtual teams across disciplines.
- Degree or equivalent work experience, with previous B2B telco experience being advantageous.
- Proficiency in Excel, with the ability to present data effectively; excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of SQL, statistics, and data modeling is beneficial.
