The Fitzwilliam Hotel is currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Assistant Front Office Manager. The primary objective of this position is to oversee Front Office operations, ensuring an exceptional guest experience that goes above and beyond their expectations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage daily Front Office operations to uphold the high standards expected of a five-star hotel and consistently meet guest satisfaction.
  • Maximize sales opportunities by promoting hotel facilities and rates effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to invoicing, security, and cash handling procedures as per Hotel Policy to minimize bad debts.
  • Maintain impeccable presentation and cleanliness standards at the Front Desk and office.
  • Effectively allocate rooms in a controlled manner.
  • Oversee daily business activities, providing exceptional service to VIPs, guests, and groups.
  • Promote clear communication within the Front Office Department through regular team meetings.
  • Ensure effective inter-departmental communication, particularly with Reservations, Accommodation, Nights, Concierge, and Accounts.
  • Provide a warm welcome and top-notch guest care throughout guests' stay.
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints promptly to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Prior experience in a similar supervisory role within a comparable hotel setting.
  • Experience in fulfilling duties of a Duty Manager.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A natural talent for making guests feel welcomed and exceeding their expectations.
  • Preferably, experience with the Opera reservations system.
  • Strong upselling and cross-selling abilities.
  • Keen attention to detail and a positive work attitude.
  • An eagerness for empowerment and continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts.
