About the Role:

We have an exciting opening to join our HR Direct Team as an HR Advisor specializing in Family Leave. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated specialist in handling all types of Family Leave scenarios (such as maternity, adoptive, surrogacy, paternity, and parents' leave) for AIB Group.

This role plays a crucial part in supporting our employees during crucial life events by offering them the necessary assistance and guidance regarding family leave.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Offer advice and support, both remotely and in person, to all AIB colleagues seeking information on our family leave options.
  • Handle all interactions with colleagues at this pivotal life stage with confidentiality, empathy, and professionalism, by clearly explaining procedures, policies, and choices while guiding them through the application process.
  • Ensure a seamless transition into and back from leave, making sure both the employee and People Leader understand their responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with the HR Policy Team to stay updated on legislative changes and incorporate them into family leave policies and procedures.
  • Discover ways to enhance the service by participating in HR presentations with key stakeholders.
  • Immerse yourself in the broader HR team, especially during busy times, to provide full support to HR Direct as per business needs.

  • You possess high levels of empathy, excellent communication skills, and strong organizational abilities.
  • You are comfortable dealing with individuals, even in emotionally charged situations.
  • Have a solid grasp of the legal obligations related to family leave, or a keen willingness to develop this area of expertise.
  • Confidence in delivering engaging presentations.
  • An innate drive to challenge conventional thinking to establish clear, effective, and efficient processes.
