The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for a motivated Field Sales Specialist LC-MS – Chromatography & Chemicals (f/m/d) to join the team in Ireland. In this position, you will independently develop and grow business within your designated product range in Pharmaceutical, Government, Industrial, and Higher Education sectors. This is a full-time, permanent position based anywhere in Ireland. Working hours: Monday-Friday, primarily remote work and at customer sites

The team

As part of the Business Development Team, alongside four colleagues, you will assist customers in identifying the best products for their scientific needs.

What we're looking for

  • Education: Completed University degree in a Scientific field (Chemistry, Biology, Life Sciences, or similar)
  • Experience: Several years of field sales experience, preferably in the BioPharma/Chemicals industry
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Good grasp of chemicals, LC-MS, and chromatography
  • Experience in a fast-paced and target-oriented environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office Tools, particularly MS Excel
  • Experience using and maintaining a CRM system
  • Understanding of short and long-term selling cycles
  • Ability to identify new business opportunities and manage existing relationships
  • Solid grasp of pricing models and disciplines
  • Excellent communication skills across scientific, technical, and business contexts

  • Increase sales by actively promoting and selling Avantor's product portfolio to end-users
  • Contribute to achieving company profitability targets
  • Attain and maintain a high level of technical product knowledge
  • Conduct product training, demonstrations, and seminars for customers
  • Collaborate on developing a detailed territory plan to meet sales and margin targets
  • Offer technical support to various teams within the organization
  • Analyze sales data to enhance performance and drive growth
  • Assist in preparing quotations and tenders for the chemicals portfolio
  • Develop supplier relationships to enhance products and services
  • Provide market intelligence to Sales Management regularly
  • Update customer interactions in the CRM system SAP C4C
  • Participate in local and European sales training events, meetings, and conferences
