The Renal Therapy Specialist (RTS) is a critical role in the Chronic Renal Business Unit reporting to the National Clinical Manager. The role holder will be a champion for the preferred patient pathway and promote this to healthcare professionals to ensure all dialysis patients are able to access the right therapy at the right time in the right place according to their individual needs and circumstances. RTS's work together with healthcare professionals within Renal Units from across the island of Ireland to drive clinical practice efficiencies and effectiveness, along with the appropriate use of Baxter products. The RTS will work collaboratively with all members of the Baxter Renal Team ensuring alignment of activities with strategic business priorities and marketing activities to drive results.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Achieving sales budgets and qualitative business objectives for the assigned therapies by:

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, proposing innovative solutions and explaining and promoting Baxter's product portfolio and their benefits. Promote the preferred patient pathway to healthcare professionals using up to date evidence for the right therapy in the right place at the right time. Demonstrate and train customers on Baxter Renal therapies, products and services effectively and constructively through an evidence-based approach. Implement identified therapy and product marketing campaigns/activities. Provide educational support to customers through formal training days onsite in hospitals or virtually as appropriate. Facilitate peer to peer networking opportunities across the territory for renal unit staff, to encourage benchmarking against best demonstrated evidence-based practice. Maintain up to date customer records through effective and timely use of our CRM tool. Develop and maintain excellent personal knowledge of the therapy environment, products and their applications and ensure product/renal knowledge remains current and evidence based. Support Baxter Renal customers in the evaluation and use of Company's products and services. Work closely with the marketing team, therapy and clinical development team and Medical Affairs to identify and develop Key Opinion Leaders in the renal therapy areas, both regionally and nationally. Collaborating with other Baxter departments/business units to achieve company objectives. Lead internal training initiatives, as subject matter experts to drive clinical excellence amongst the renal team. Work collaboratively with the Account Manager in the territory.

The job holder must:

Participate fully in the Baxter Coaching process Satisfactorily complete all training courses deemed necessary for the position Maintain and develop their own professional and educational credibility by keeping up to date with current issues within their field of expertise Comply with Baxter Ethical and Code of Conduct Standards. Ability to travel daily and stay away from home as required Adhere to relevant company protocols and Standard Operating Procedures

Education and/or experience:

Recognised nursing qualification with 3 years renal experience or ITU experience. Post graduate renal nursing certificate/ITU Certificate preferable. 3 years training / selling experience within the Healthcare industry desirable but not mandatory Hold a full clean driving license
