What is the Opportunity?

The role is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong accounting and life assurance knowledge to work within the Wealth & Insurance Finance Department. The role will involve working closely with Wealth & Insurance operations team and actuarial colleagues.

In this role, you will:
  • Run the quarterly IFRS 17 process to include manual calculations, reconciliations, journal postings, uploads to IFRS 17 reporting tool.
  • Agree timelines and manage the quarterly Valuation process and ensure that all queries raised by Actuarial Valuations are closed off accurately and efficiently
  • Engage with Business Operations Teams on the identification and resolution of complex issues.
  • Improve the financial control environment and support in managing relationships
  • Provide support to IT transformation projects
  • Support the team with key tasks and develop and motivate the team
What will make you stand out:

You have experience working in a financial control environment. You have life assurance knowledge. You have experience in and knowledge of accounting processes and accounting systems along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and have a consistent record in multitasking.

Essential Qualifications:

Qualified Accountant or experienced finance professional

About the Team

The Financial Reconciliation and Control team is part of the Financial Reporting and Control Function in Wealth & Insurance. The team is responsible for ensuring the accurate processing of over €3.8billion of customer premiums and claims.

A key part of the Team's goals is to drive efficiency across the business by ensuring reconciling items are identified and resolved on a timely basis.

This is a hybrid role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin. Travel will be required for in-person collaboration -exact frequency to be agreed with manager.
