Network Security Specialist

Day rate hybrid contract based out of Dublin or Cork

Our enterprise client in the financial sector is engaged in a major digital transformation initiative. To support this transformation, a significant and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Network Security Specialist. This role is crucial for meeting the increasing demands for the design and implementation of secure network infrastructure and solutions as we progress on our digital journey. The ideal candidate will possess solid technical expertise and a background in network design. This is a multifaceted role that requires seamless collaboration across departments to achieve desired outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Detailed knowledge and experience in the implementation of resilient network and network security solutions
  • Hands-on experience with micro-segmentation and zero-trust technologies
  • Proficiency in software-defined networking and deploying related technologies
  • Strong understanding of Identity Access Management and its integration with network segmentation
  • Thorough awareness of the regulatory landscape and associated network and cybersecurity requirements
  • Proven experience in delivering enterprise-class solutions within transformative programs supporting critical business applications
  • Strong ability to take initiative and produce results amidst competing priorities
  • Effective collaboration skills within a talented team
  • Experience in risk management and control

Desired:

  • Experience in managing and operating relevant technologies
  • Familiarity with automation technologies and their role in service and solution delivery
  • In-depth understanding of secure and scalable cloud connectivity
  • Hands-on experience in defining digital service end-points encompassing Web Access Firewall, load balancers, and secure web gateways
  • Knowledge of private cloud and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure design

Your Responsibilities:
Functional Strategy & Delivery

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the network and network security for seamless integration of new services and simplification
  • Design, implement, and maintain relevant technologies to protect and enable
  • Develop secure and resilient solution designs aligning with business needs and strategic objectives
  • Drive simplification of managed environments, focusing on industry-leading solutions
  • Prioritize an automation-first strategy to eliminate repetitive tasks and enhance efficiency
  • Facilitate the development of secure cloud connectivity solutions
  • Establish and nurture relationships with relevant third-party support

Risk Management & Control

  • Understand and manage risks across relevant processes
  • Maintain control environment to align with standards and regulatory requirements, seeking enhancements and automation
  • Proactively address audit findings with effective solutions
  • Support remediation of findings from external reviews

Lead an Inspiring Culture

  • Exemplify organizational values and promote open discussions within the team
  • Support initiatives arising from Staff Surveys to improve the team's working environment

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Cultivate productive relationships with Group Technology and other teams
