Service Transition Manager

What is the opportunity?
The successful candidate will work closely with Group Change, IT Engineering and Technology Services on the strategic Programmes to ensure service quality and operational design is built in from the outset and stable and supportable solutions are implemented.
They will represent Technology Servicesand lead the Service Transition Operational governance, providing Reports and updates to TS Leadership and Senior Programme stakeholders.
In this Role, you will- Ensure that the changes being introduced by the Group Change Programmes and Projects meet the Technology Service standards, can be safely transitioned into live and are capable of being fully supported by Technology Services teams through the Managed Service Providers
- Lead the definition of the Programme Transition Engagement Models
- Work with strategic Programmes as a subject matter expert to help define the support structure and service model.
- Work closely with the Programme & support teams to ensure that all Technology Service requirements are captured at the outset and are tracked throughout the lifecycle.
- Lead the Service Transition Operational governance, providing Reports and updates to Technology Services Leadership and Senior Programme stakeholders.
Proven track record in delivery or transition of projects successfully into production with experience in contracting for service partner and third party products will make you stand out
Strong practical knowledge and experience of working in a commercially complex outsourced Service Support model with strong Third Party management skills will give you an advantage
Facilitation and negotiation skills with excellent people and stakeholder management experience with a mindset to challenge will help you succeed in the role.
You have an appreciation of the challenges associated with acquiring and managing cloud services, with experience in Risk Management processes and assessments
Project Management or Operational Support Experience, with a technical appreciation of the Bank of Ireland IT Landscape is advantageous.
Essential QualificationsThere are no specific qualifications or minimum educational requirements needed for this role.
The below are desirable:
- DevOps experience
- ITIL Certification
- Knowledge of SAAS, IAAS and PAAS solutions
The Service Transition team, within Technology Services, focuses on ensuring the criteria for effective deployment of all IT changes into production have been met, minimising impact on service.
We do this by working closely with Change Delivery functions to ensure Service Transition Governance is implemented and embedded for all IT projects.
We also engage with the wider team to ensure they are all ready to support the change in the production environment within Service Level Agreements.
This is a hybrid onsite role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as ITC, Cabinteely, Dublin 18. Travel will be required for in-person collaboration - exact frequency to be agreed with manager.
