What is the opportunity?

As a Service Transition Manager, you will represent Technology Services across multiple forums andworkcloselywith partners across Group Change, Engineering & IT Risk to ensure the successful transition of the Bank's strategic IT Programmes and Project.

You will work closely with Service Model Design Lead within the Service Transition Team to ensure IT Service Strategy and Service Models for newly transitioned services are aligned with industry standard.

In this Role, you will
  • Work on the Bank's strategic Programmes and Projects and will be accountable for ensuring the successful transition of these new services into production
  • Work closely with Technology Services teams in Application Operations, Infrastructure Operations, Service Design and Service Management Office to ensure that each Technology Services team is delivering what is required of them in order to accept new strategic services into production.
  • Be accountable for ensuring the effective management of IT risk relating to the service transition of your Programmes and Projects.
  • Ensure appropriate governance & reporting is in place with all partners.
  • Ensure the Technology Services Leadership team are appropriately engaged and are informed of transition readiness status and any emerging issues or risks.
  • Develop strong working relationships with key partners and stakeholders across all areas.
  • Work closely with the Service Model Design Lead within the Service Transition team to ensure the IT Service Strategy and Service Models for newly transitioned services are designed and delivered in line with industry standard,
  • Proactively seek opportunities for increased operational efficiency within the Service Transition area.

You have experience in Management including proficiency in effective partner management with good communication, relationship building & influencing skills.

Having IT Support model design; with experience in designing and implementing new IT support and operating models with an excellent appreciation of the business and the IT function required to deliver an end-to-end IT service will make you standout

An in depth understanding of industry standard methodology for IT operations, and of the roles and responsibilities of IT led service partners and third-party IT product suppliers is important along with experience of audit, regulatory, risk and compliance requirements in a highly regulated industry.

Essential Qualifications

There are no specific qualifications or minimum educational requirements needed for this role

  • Relevant ITIL, SIAM, DevOps, Cloud services and/or Project Management qualifications, certification or equivalent experience.
More about the team

The Service Transition team, within Technology Services, focuses on ensuring the criteria for effective deployment of all IT changes into production have been met, minimising impact on service.

We do this by working closely with Change Delivery functions to ensure Service Transition Governance is implemented and embedded for all IT projects.

We also engage with the wider team to ensure they are all ready to support the change in the production environment within Service Level Agreements.

This is a hybrid onsite role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as ITC, Cabinteely, Dublin 18. Travel will be required for in-person collaboration - exact frequency to be agreed with manager.
