About the team
Email marketing is at the core of everything we do.
Our email team collaborates with our growth, project management, design and advertising teams, to build our global communities, and engage with our attendees.
The goal of our email team is to deliver high-quality, creative, and data-driven strategies that inspire new communities to join our events.
We're looking for a
creative and hands-on marketing professional
who understands the power of email marketing and is capable of serving as a creative visionary, developing disruptive and engaging ideas to captivate audiences and drive business goals.
Please note, this is a 12m FTC.
What you'll achieve at Web Summit
You'll deliver creative email concepts with storytelling and copy that are tailored for different audiences
You'll leverage AI tools to write, edit, and refine high-quality content across formats
You'll own the end-to-end strategy and implementation of email marketing campaigns
You'll propose and roll out customer acquisition plans across different journey flows (nurture, referral, re-engagement, abandonment)
You'll support the building and implementation of email automation workflows
You'll propose and run A/B testing of our email campaigns across the different aspects (concepts, SL, CTA, body copy, titles, images) and use the results to inform our email marketing strategies.
You'll analyse data and report on key performance metrics for email which will help you identify what's working and what's not working and make data-driven decisions
Who you are
You're passionate about developing creative marketing concepts, including copywriting
You're excited about the idea of owning the strategy of email and proposing innovative ideas that combine creative thinking with customer obsession and data insights
You have experience in building email marketing campaigns and you're aware of the key elements of an email, preferably having worked with email tools for automation
You're data-driven with a strong interest in email marketing and the digital world
You're an excellent communicator with great attention to detail.
You keep up-to-date with the latest ideas in technology and marketing.
No matter how crazy the ideas are, you are able to turn them into reality.
You proactively take ownership of proposing improvements that help us keep growing
You like to work cross-functionally with different departments and team members
Skills and abilities we're looking for
2+ years' commercial experience with some/all of the following: Email marketing, content marketing, creative-focused projects, marketing automation at scale.
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills
Able to write engaging content
Exceptional written and spoken English
Some technical and analytical experience across email building and set-up on email platforms (Iterable is a plus)
Experience delivering to strict deadlines.
A desire to be part of a fast and varied business environment where flexibility is a must and direction can change quickly.
A passion and curiosity for the tech world as well as digital and social media marketing.
