Job SummaryThe Junior Quantity Surveyor will assist in managing project costs and budgets, ensuring financial efficiency and value for money.Working under the supervision of senior staff, the role involves cost estimation, procurement, contract administration on civil engineering projects across sectors such as marine, roads, bridges, energy and specialist engineering.Key ActivitiesAssist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions.Support the management and monitoring of project costs to ensure budgetary compliance.Contribute to the procurement process, including the preparation and review of contracts, tender documentation, and subcontractor agreements.Assist in measuring, valuing, and certifying works completed on-site.Prepare and maintain accurate records, including cost reports, valuations, and payment applications.Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate risks, variations, and claims.Support the preparation of final accounts and project close-out documentation.Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives/CompetenciesStrong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships.A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.Good problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in relevant software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and quantity surveying tools.Education and ExperienceA degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.Knowledge of Irish construction practices, regulations, and standards is desirable.Relevant work experience through internships, placements, or part-time roles in the construction industry is an advantage.A full, clean driving license is preferred.Job Type: Full-timePay: €35,******-€50,****** per yearBenefits:Bike to work schemeCompany carCompany pensionOn-site parkingEducation:Bachelor's (preferred)Experience:quantity surveying : 1 year (required)Work Location: In person
