Quantity Surveyor Building Contractor Location: Dublin Salary: Up to €65,000 (Dependent on Experience) Talent-Curve Recruitment is partnering with an established building contractor in Dublin who is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
This role involves actively managing the financial and contractual aspects of multiple construction projects, ensuring accurate costing, timely payments, and efficient procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities: Manage the commercial performance of several live construction projects, ensuring budgets, timelines, and contractual obligations are maintained.
Review, approve, and place purchase orders with suppliers, monitoring costs to control project expenditure.
Prepare and submit interim and final payment applications to clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
Assess and negotiate project variations, ensuring all changes are documented and approved to protect project profitability.
Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed cashflow forecasts to anticipate funding requirements and prevent overruns.
Support estimating and tendering processes for upcoming projects, including cost analysis, subcontractor pricing, and bid preparation.
Administer contracts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring all documentation, correspondence, and compliance requirements are up to date.
Candidate Requirements: Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
Minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience as a Quantity Surveyor on building projects.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organisational and time management skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, capable of communicating with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, contract administration, and on-site operations.
Solutions-focused, collaborative approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Full, clean Irish driving licence.
