A snapshot of your key responsibilities as Router Installation Technician would be:

  • Travel to customer or business sites to carry out physical installation of routers.
  • Mount and connect routers to power and network ports as per installation guide.
  • Use provided mobile tools (e.g., phone app or checklist) to confirm successful installation.
  • Label equipment and record serial numbers, addresses, or installation photos as required.
  • Ensure equipment is correctly placed and safely secured in accordance with H&S guidelines.
  • Maintain daily logs and provide basic updates to the project coordinator.
  • Liaise with site contacts for access and verify completed work before leaving each site.
  • Adhere to safe working practices, especially when accessing utility or comms cabinets.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in field-based installation, warehousing, or maintenance roles
  • Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet app to log jobs and take photos.
  • Ability to travel to multiple sites
  • Full clean Irish driving licence.
  • Safe Pass certification
  • Strong reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently.
