Overview

QEHS Specialist (FTC 9 Months) - Contract completion, March 2026. As the QEHS Specialist, your primary task is to ensure that the site meets all standards and policies, including legislation and customer requirements, concerning quality and food safety. It is essential to maintain a constant audit-ready state. You will also contribute to improving EHS-related processes on-site and act as the primary technical contact for customers, suppliers, and third-party relationships, including certifications and accreditations.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the Quality Management System, including HACCP, TACCP and VACCP.
  • Provide technical support to other departments through education, advice, and problem-solving.
  • Maintain existing standards and cultivate a positive food safety culture within the organization.
  • Oversee and manage environmental, health, and safety (EHS) at the site level, ensuring compliance with legal and company EHS standards.
  • Lead internal and external audits.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, suppliers, and third-party relationships, including certifications and accreditations.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure elements are documented to the highest standards.
Qualifications
  • Degree-level education in Food Sciences or equivalent, with a proven track record as a technical specialist in a high-turnover food or FMCG environment.
  • Previous experience in a similar quality, safety, or environmental role with expert knowledge.
  • Fundamental experience as a food safety certification/licence auditor.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the food industry.
  • Ability to confidently deliver presentations to large groups.
  • Interdepartmental reporting relationship with site general managers.
Travel

*Routine travel to our Lurgan site is required
