Responsibilities Overview:

  • Develop and implement Quality Management Systems, incorporating HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP, to ensure compliance with standards and policies.
  • Provide expert technical support to other departments through education, advice, and problem-solving.
  • Maintain existing quality and food safety standards while fostering a positive culture within the organization.
  • Oversee and manage environmental, health, and safety (EHS) at the site level, ensuring compliance with legal and company EHS standards.
  • Lead internal and external audits, verifying adherence to regulations and guidelines.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, suppliers, and third-party relationships, including certifications and accreditations.
  • Ensure audit-ready documentation is maintained and elements are documented to the highest standards.

Key Qualifications:

  • Degree-level education in Food Sciences or equivalent, with a proven track record as a technical specialist in a high-turnover food or FMCG environment.
  • Previous experience in a similar quality, safety, or environmental role with expert knowledge.
  • Fundamental experience as a food safety certification/licence auditor.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the food industry.
  • Ability to confidently deliver presentations to large groups.
  • Interdepartmental reporting relationship with site general managers.

Travel and Location:

  • Routine travel to our Lurgan site is required.
  • The position is based in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.
