Loch Garman, Loch Garman, Ireland Seasalt Full time
Overview

Originally selling workwear to local mariners and practical overalls to artists, our story began in a small shop in Penzance in 1981. Over the years we've grown into a leading UK lifestyle brand with over 80 shops across the UK and Ireland, 400+ wholesale partners and a thriving online business, but never losing touch of our roots. Our passion for well-crafted clothing, exemplary customer service and connection to our local communities drives everything we do. As we continue to grow in the UK and internationally, we are focussed on delivering excellence across every touchpoint, whether that is at our warehouse, in store or through our customer service channels, building a team that shares our values. Each employee plays a part in the success of Seasalt, and this was evidenced by our Drapers Award win of "Best Place to Work".

Responsibilities
  • Store leadership: take ownership of all aspects of running a Seasalt store with exceptional retail skills, product knowledge and commercial know-how.
  • Train and develop your team to create a positive atmosphere and deliver excellent service.
  • Coaching and developing your team to drive performance through formative feedback, one-to-one meetings and development plans.
  • Create a service culture that puts the customer at the heart of everything the team does.
  • Motivate the team to recommend additional services to drive sales, including omni-channel selling, gathering customer data, and suggesting add-on purchases.
  • Take ownership of sales, profitability and KPI results and understand what is required to drive performance in the store.
  • Communicate store performance to the team and key stakeholders, providing regular feedback and highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Implement store visual merchandising, windows standards and guidelines using product information to maximise commercial opportunities.
  • Ensure thorough product knowledge of Seasalt products, including design inspiration, features and benefits.
  • Manage store operations such as stock management, loss prevention, health and safety, GDPR, cash handling, key holder responsibilities and general store safety standards.
  • Recruit a diverse and passionate team who confidently deliver excellent results.
  • Be responsible for the store and ensure all physical assets are maintained and losses minimised.
  • Identify potential performance issues within the team and address them effectively, informally or formally.
The Skills You'll Be Sharing With The Team

Leading your team from the front by driving sales, maximising profitability, and achieving KPI results, you will be responsible for taking ownership of all aspects of running a successful Seasalt store. Customer satisfaction will mean everything to you, and you will be proud of the culture you create through training and developing your team. You will have previous experience in leading a team, preferably in a retail or equivalent environment where you drove key KPI achievement and managed budgets. Approachable, solution-focused and positive are words that describe your management style; you will empower your team daily and share your commercial knowledge with them and our customers.
