Overview

Electrical Design Manager – Data Centre, based in North Dublin, with a reputable and growing main contractor that delivers innovative engineering and construction solutions across diverse technical industries. This key role sits within a high-performing delivery team and requires deep technical expertise to manage design, coordination and project delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the electrical design process from pre-construction through delivery
  • Collaborate with design consultants, subcontractors, and in-house engineering teams
  • Ensure timely production and coordination of technical submittals and shop drawings
  • Lead design meetings, ensuring technical compliance and alignment with project goals
  • Manage design deliverables in line with programme milestones
  • Identify design risks and propose solutions to mitigate cost or schedule impact
  • Support project managers and site teams with design input and technical resolution
  • Ensure designs comply with Irish electrical regulations, health and safety standards, and client specifications
Requirements
  • Third level qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Design Engineering
  • 3+ years' experience working on large industrial plant projects
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within a strict deadline environment
  • Proficiency in a related Electrical Design package/software
