The key purpose of this role is to oversee the Facilities Maintenance of the Bakery environment and ensure all areas are maintained to a high standard. The goal is to have all areas audit/visit ready at all times.

Responsibilities include:
  • Maintenance and repairs of the Bakery facilities, including production equipment, guarding, and utilities areas.
  • Ensure all areas are audit ready from a facilities perspective.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand issues and ensure timely, accurate resolution.
  • Work with Quality and Hygiene teams on audit/visit preparation and deep cleaning routines.
  • Perform routine repairs and maintenance tasks as prescribed by Department Heads.
  • Prepare the Bakery and Cold Store environments for audits/visits.
  • Contribute to improvement projects with fellow Facilities Maintenance Technicians.
  • Facilitate deep cleaning activities as instructed by the Quality and Hygiene manager.
  • Complete tasks related to repairs and maintenance in coordination with the Maintenance Department and H&S Manager.
  • Build proofing including doors, windows, walls, and cable or piping trays as instructed by pest control services via the Quality Manager.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks in specialized areas like cable trays and electrical control panels.
Skills & Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a Facilities Maintenance role.

  • Trades background is preferred.
  • Experience in Facilities Maintenance is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. The candidate must be proactive, self-motivated, and quick to learn and adapt.
  • Proven experience in an Engineering/Maintenance environment with relevant training and skills is desirable.
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Office, are required.
  • Flexibility, ability to work under pressure, and independent task management skills are essential.
  • Strong planning skills to prioritize work according to business needs.
